Getting it ready
Before you drop off:
- Winterize before drop-off. The building is heated, but we can't guarantee a set temperature, so drain and protect anything a freeze could damage.
- Batteries disconnected where practical. You're responsible for disconnecting them. If that isn't practical on your vehicle, we can accept it connected.
- Propane tanks shut off.
- Food, drinks, pet food, and garbage removed. Anything that could attract rodents or insects over a long winter.
- Keys handed over at drop-off. Our staff parks and retrieves every vehicle.
- Proof of insurance. Required before we can accept your vehicle, covering it for full replacement value.
- No portable fuel containers. Fuel in the vehicle's own tank is fine at any level; loose gas cans are not allowed.
For motorhomes and travel trailers, also:
- Empty the fridge and prop the door open.
- Winterize the water system before drop-off.
- Close vents and roof hatches.
For cargo, utility, and horse trailers, also:
- Remove anything that can't sit through a winter indoors.
- Clean out horse trailers before drop-off.
- Measure from the front of the hitch to the back of the trailer.
